We have known Craig and Margaret Benjamin since 2013, this came about in a very funny way, Eric being a commercial fisherman would often have Myall Lake prawns for sale and not knowing their names I would say here comes Mrs. Thoroughbred and Marg would call me Mrs. Prawn, on one Saturday Craig dropped into buy the prawns and Eric being a keen punter asked him to wait whilst he watched a race, they then got talking race horses and Craig said he was syndicating a race horse and the rest they say is history.
We began our venture into horse racing with Star Shaft, then along came Raise A Glass and then Our Rising Star. Star Shaft and Our Rising Star both went onto become winners unfortunately we had to retire Raise A Glass and then Our Rising Star, Star Shaft is still racing today, highlight of Star’s racing career has been winning the Victoria Hotel Moonan Flat 3yo Maiden plate and two Highway Races, for those that don’t know these are run for country trainer’s, one at Randwick and one at Rosehill. Highlights for Our Rising Star was winning at Narromine and Muswellbrook. We have now ventured into two more horses with Argyle Racing, they are Kidman Boss and Star of India both yet to be raced but looking promising.
Our experience with Argyle Racing is just fantastic we have made some life long friends, especially the Benjamin’s, other members of the syndicates, our trainer Tim McIntosh and his family. We make each time our horses are racing a social event with many a great time away at the races.
Argyle Racing is run very professionally, Craig keeps all syndicate members up to date with regular texts and photos and a rundown of how your horse is going. Eric and I being novices at the racing game Craig’s made it easy walking us through all steps necessary for our entry into horse ownership and syndication.

My name is Bruce Judd I have been involved in the horse racing industry with breeding and racing horses for 45 years. Within this time I have had successes with winners in top level group racing in Sydney, Gold Coast, Brisbane.
I am currently still very involved it the horse racing industry and at present I have shares in several horses with Argyle Racing, I have known Craig Benjamin for appox 5 years in a personal and working relationship, over this time I have joined with Craig in several of his horses. I also join Craig when he goes to the horse sales to purchase yearlings to race, Craig has vast knowledge of thorough bred breeding and racing. Craig also carries out tours to the Hunter Valley Studs which enhances his vast knowledge of the racing industry.
Argyle has a very successful strike rate at 85% of runners to winners.
I can vouch that Craig is a very honest person and carries out his duties with high integrity.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN,
Approximately 5 years ago myself & my wife Deb experienced a Upper Hunter racehorse stud tour with Craig Benjamin. Towards the conclusion of the tour we were offered a share in a horse named Star Shaft.
We elected to think about it for 24 hours & mainly due to the "no pressure" attitude of Craig & the chance to become active participants in the sport we elected to take up the offer.
To date Star has won 3 races including 2 Highway handicaps & while the wins are great & celebrations long the disappointments are also softened by the fact the days are enjoyable & we are in good company. Craig also assists by being instrumental in keeping us informed with our horse's progress & arranging overnight accommodation come race day. We get to be involved with the trainer , horse , jockey on race day which makes you feel involved .
We are now up to horse 3 with Craig & have established strong friendships with the other owners. Being a horse lover it is also good to know all avenues are taken to find a home for the horse on retirement with strong thoroughbred contacts for both Craig & trainer
We hope to continue our involvement with Craig (Argyle Racing) with the opportunity to continue to be a "hands on " owner with future
purchases.
